A ‘Green’ Living Green Expo

The Living Green Expo strives not only to teach attendees about sustainable living choices, but also works to be a living example of its values. From compostable food service items, signs, and banners to providing free public transit options for all attendees, the Living Green Expo demonstrates that the environmental impact of the event can be reduced greatly through conscious effort and planning.

Exhibitor Selection

The Living Green Expo chooses its exhibitors carefully through a rigorous selection process. Exhibitors must demonstrate their level of compliance with the following criteria in order to characterize sustainable services, products and educational approaches.

Each applicant must explain how their organization:

Limits natural resource use
Discovers and utilizes substitutes for toxic chemicals and materials
Cares for Earth’s ecosystems
Meets fundamental human needs such as health, social justice, and community

This selection process ensures that every business or organization represented at the Living Green Expo practices legitimate, sustainable behaviors. Visitors can be confident that the businesses and organizations they see at the Expo have the “greenest” of intentions.

Stewardship Council

The Living Green Expo Stewardship Council is made up of numerous leaders in the sustainability community, offering guidance to the event. The Minnesota Environmental Partnership and the Living Green Expo would like to extend a special thanks to the Stewardship Council organizations that help ensure the event maintains a commitment to its core values of sustainability, integrity, authenticity, diversity and community engagement.
